Figures as of 4 October 2026 (database 1.45.0).

Act I · Find

Find anyone, and anything.

01 · The landscape

All of Taiwan’s politics, in one archive.

Legislators, officials, councillors, factions, civil-society figures, institutions and documents — bills, Control Yuan cases and court judgments: 9,486 files in seven columns. Each person is filed once, under their highest office, and files that belong to the same body sit side by side.

  • 4,908 files in seven columns
  • Grouped by the body they belong to
  • Arrow keys, the wheel or a drag

03 · Select

Build the list you need.

Narrow the same table to the sitting legislators of this term, by party, committee or county. Tick the ones you want and they gather in Selected files, ready to export as CSV or Markdown, each with a link back to its file.

  • Filter by party, committee, county or term
  • Tick rows into Selected files
  • Export CSV or Markdown

Act II · Understand

Understand who is behind it.

04 · The bill

See who is behind it.

The AI Basic Act’s file says where it stands — passed at third reading in the 11th Legislative Yuan — and lists everyone who sponsored a draft of it: twenty-seven legislators, fifteen from the DPP and twelve from the KMT.

  • Status, sitting and documents
  • Every sponsor, a click away
  • A link to every file

05 · Relationships

See who connects to whom.

Put the sponsors on one relation graph. One ring out shows the parties, caucuses and committees they share; two rings out, who else sits around them. Filter by the kind of relation, or keep only what is current.

  • Up to twelve people on one graph
  • One ring or two
  • Filter by kind, or current only

06 · Institutions

Who answers to whom.

Agencies are files too. The National Science and Technology Council, the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, with the Executive Yuan above them and the people who lead them, on one graph.

  • Agency hierarchy, drawn in its own colour
  • Ministers and deputies on the same graph
  • Central and local government

07 · Chambers

Every seat, on a map of Taiwan.

The Legislative Yuan and all 22 local councils sit on a three-dimensional map of Taiwan, seat by seat and coloured by party; cities and counties take the colour of their mayor’s or magistrate’s party.

  • 23 chambers, 989 seats
  • Coloured by party, independents’ ties included
  • A seat opens its member’s file

Act III · Read

Read the source, and keep your own notes.

08 · Documents

Read the bill where it was written.

The Legislative Yuan’s own documents open in a reader: the Executive Yuan’s draft and the legislators’ drafts of the same act. Jump to a page, zoom in, and move from one version to the next.

  • 393 official documents across 150 bills
  • Thumbnails, zoom and a link to every page
  • Every draft of the bill

09 · Comments

Mark the clause that matters.

Select a passage and comment on it: the words stay highlighted, your comment sits beside them, and replies follow below.

  • Comments pinned to the passage
  • Replies, edits and resolved threads
  • Export the thread as Markdown

10 · Notes

Notes that link back to the files.

Keep notes on the bill as you read. Type @ and a name to link a sponsor’s file, highlight the line that matters, and export the note as PDF or Markdown.

  • Rich text, checklists and highlighters
  • @ links to any file
  • Export PDF or Markdown

11 · Citations

Cite it properly.

Every file, and every page of every document, has its citation ready in Chinese or English — Parnassus, APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard, BibTeX or RIS — with the database version it came from.

  • Seven formats, two languages
  • Page numbers for documents
  • The database version in every citation

Act IV · Deliver

Deliver it, and keep it current.

12 · Workspace

Your desk, not a pile of tabs.

Switch to the workspace and keep the bill, its graph and your notes open side by side as windows. Move them, resize them, or let Parnassus arrange them for you.

  • Files, graphs, chambers, documents and notes as windows
  • Snap and arrange
  • Your layout is remembered

13 · Tabs

Pick up where you left off.

Everything you opened along the way is still there as a tab — files, graphs, chambers, documents and notes — and your tabs follow you to your other devices.

  • Up to twenty tabs
  • Kept in your account
  • On every device you sign in to

14 · Current

Always current, always versioned.

The archive is rebuilt from a verified research vault twice a day. Every release carries a version and a changelog: what changed in the system, and which offices and affiliations changed in the database this week.

  • Updated twice a day
  • Versioned releases, in Chinese and English
  • Official sources first

15 · Elections

The 2026 local elections, on one map.

Every city and county is coloured by its sitting mayor’s or magistrate’s party; click one for the candidates for mayor, magistrate and council.

  • 22 mayoral and magistrate races
  • Every council district
  • Candidates from the official register
